Which workings we drive
Sheet 01
Development miner with a rock drill at the faceDevelopment works are the backbone of our company. We drive workings for opening up and preparing levels, as well as exploration and auxiliary workings at operating mines.
Development technology
Sheet 02The development cycle: drilling blastholes, charging and blasting, ventilation, barring down, mucking, ground support. Drill-and-blast works follow procedures and blast designs agreed with the client, without stopping main production.
Mucking and haulage are done with our own CAT R1300G LHDs with a 3.1 m³ bucket and underground haul trucks with a payload of up to 20 tonnes. Reserve machines mean the cycle does not stop when the main equipment is in for scheduled maintenance.
Ground support is to design: rock bolting, SVP steel arches, shotcrete. In unstable ground we consolidate the rock mass with resins.
Volumes we have handed over
Sheet 03At the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant of TNC Kazchrome JSC, the 2013 contract delivered 933 lin. m of development and 15,599 m³ of workings; the 2015 extension delivered 1,166 lin. m and 19,705 m³. Today, at Vostoktsvetmet's mines, it is hundreds of metres of development every month. Every metre is handed over based on survey measurement.

Any, to the client's design: equipment and technology are selected for the cross-section. Specify the parameters in your request and we will tell you which equipment set we will deploy.
Do you drive vertical workings?
Yes — horizontal, inclined and vertical, from raises to shafts.
Whose explosives are used?
This is agreed in the contract. The company holds a licence for the acquisition and storage of explosives for its own needs and a licence for blasting operations.
How is the cost of development calculated?
Usually per linear metre, taking into account the cross-section, rock strength, type of ground support and haulage distance. An exact estimate is based on the scope of work.
